As students, we know firsthand how tempting it is to rely on AI tools like ChatGPT for quick answers and creative inspiration. However, this convenience comes with significant ethical challenges. This is a design project that focuses on addressing the wicked problem of using AI tools to a point where it unknowingly leads to issues like plagiarism and diminishes our critical thinking skills.
Throughout this exhibition and campaign, my group and I aimed to educate our fellow ANU students about the importance of using AI responsibly and equip them with the tools and knowledge necessary to navigate the complexities of AI in a way that enhances creativity without compromising critical thinking skills. We’ve designed engaging and informative exhibits, brochures and a video that highlights the potential risks of improper AI usage, such as over-reliance and its impact on independent learning.
Below are the final outputs that we presented to the class. Access the full portfolio here.
