The SoCIETIE Initiative Brief

A New Way of Learning.

A New Way of Learning.

The SoCIETIE Initiative is a transdisciplinary learning program within the McCusker Institute at the Australian National University (ANU). Its aim is to connect students from every faculty through collaborative, social-impact-driven education. The program operates under the KNoTs model (“Know the Nature of Things”), allowing students to shape their learning through modular workshops, industry projects, and community-based collaborations.

This was a design project that responded to SoCIETIE’s urgent need for visibility, identity, and clear communication. After only 1.5 semesters of operation, SoCIETIE faced confusion among students
about its purpose and process. Working with SoCIETIE course convenor, Chris, my design team and I created a goal to build a cohesive brand ecosystem and communication toolkit that would make the initiative recognisable, accessible, and inspiring.

Below is the business proposal that contains our final outputs that we presented to Chris in our final week of the course. This was a huge learning experience and our first opportunity working with a client.

Access our complete documentation portfolio here, which includes in-depth research, design prototyping, and documented feedback.
